Training Day 3: Energy


What the hell was I thinking?


I realize now that I'm going to have to cut my juice fast short. Driven with ambition to speed up my baseline month and start training (really training) in two weeks, I decided to add an extra 4 minutes to my run and also speeding up my pace now to 4.3mph. That was a BIG mistake because I was running on absolutely NOTHING.

I hadn't eaten, I barley juiced. Really, this fast is going to have be cut short. If I want to run a marathon, I need proper nutrition. As I reached 8-minutes during my run I was starting to feel the effects of being nutrition idiot. The room was spinning, my head feeling rather light, and my calves were starting to cramp up (also dehydration, I imagine).

Therefore, my homework tonight: have a good night's sleep (really this time). Then tomorrow: have a light breakfast and run for 15-minutes. I can do this. I just have to be SMARTER about it.
