I did some strength training today and shortly after I decided to run a mile. To keep me going, I downloaded a new
audiobook from
audible.com. It took me 14:47 minutes this time which made me quite happy. The only thing is that when it came time to my cross training (I chose swimming), I started to feel a bit...claustrophobic (if that makes sense). But since I was really determined to complete my 30-minute session, I decided to take it slow, mind my breathing, and work on my form. My mind also started to wander a bit. It's always when I'm in water that I think about family, friends, the beach. Perhaps good things, good events, vacations, that have transpired around water. I realized that maybe I pushed myself too much today. I was also getting very hungry but luckily, I prepared my protein shake and a granola bar.
For lunch, I decided to make a wonderful garden salad (at least, I like to call it so):
Romaine lettuce, capers, tomatoes (fresh from the garden), cucumber, italian seasoning, and some ready-made dressing (because I was too lazy to make my own vinaigrette). I also toasted some focaccia bread and drizzled some virgin olive oil.
I'm really tired now. Nap time.
Zzzzzz,
RunnerKE
